Trio of hires at Woodward Group

Having faced the unique and ongoing challenges brought on by the pandemic last year, and successfully navigated our way through the complex and ever-changing lockdown restrictions, Woodward Group is proud that our company continues to thrive, even during these difficult times.

“In response to an increase in the number of projects Woodward Group has won over recent months, and in-line with our with our commitment to continued organic growth, we are pleased to have bolstered our team with the appointments of a new Fire and Security Supervisor, Fire Alarm Engineer, and Office Administrator,” explains Woodward Group’s Managing Director, Aden Woodward.

New hires: Chris Eley, Reece Cocker, Fenella McBride

Chris Eley joins the team as Fire and Security Supervisor. With a wealth of experience gained from looking after several large service contracts throughout his career, Chris is well equipped to manage large installation and commissioning works for Woodward Group. As Fire and Security Supervisor, he will also use his talent for leadership to oversee the skills and progression of other engineers on the team.

Commenting on his appointment, Chris said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Woodward Group team and look forward to using my expert knowledge and experience to help build the Fire Safety division and expand our growing customer base.”

We’re also pleased to welcome Reece Cocker to the Woodward Group team as Fire Alarm Engineer. A skilled electrician, Reece has spent the last few years training and specialising in fire alarm engineering. He will put this training to good use in his new role, which will involve installing and servicing different kinds of fire alarm systems in a range of environments, as well as carrying out servicing and installation works on a range of intruder alarm systems.

Reece said: “I’m excited to develop my skills in fire alarm systems and intruder alarm systems in my new role as Fire Alarm Engineer, and I look forward to taking on new challenges and helping to grow the fire alarm department of Woodward Group.”

The third team member joining the Woodward Group ranks is our new Office Administrator, Fenella McBride. Prior to joining Woodward Group, Fenella had a successful career working in a variety of management positions at a global shoe retailer, where she gained extensive communication and organisation skills. We are delighted that Fenella has opted for a change of career and will be applying her skills with us. As Office Administrator for Woodward Group, Fenella will head up the preventative maintenance side of the business and provide assistance to the Operations Manager.

Commenting on her new role, Fenella said: “I am excited to be joining a growing local business, and I look forward to learning new skills and putting my previous customer service and communications experience to good use in a sector that is new to me. A large part of my role will involve maintaining the high standard of client relations that Woodward Group is recognised for.”
