Woodward Group takes charity effort to new peaks

On 9 May 2026, Woodward Group took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge as part of another year of fundraising for charities close to our hearts.

The challenge

After the successful completion of the National Three Peaks Challenge, and the gruelling Tough Mudder last year, we set our sights on a new challenge for a charity that means a lot to our team.

The team climbed the Yorkshire Three Peaks — Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough — covering around 24 miles of challenging terrain, including 5000 ft of vertical ascent, all in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities UK. These hills form part of the Pennine range and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The challenge kicked off at 8am, and our team had 12 hours to complete the route.

About Ronald McDonald House Charities UK

Its 14 Houses across the UK give families a warm and comfortable place to rest, eat and relax, just moments away from their child’s hospital ward, and provide invaluable support to families at a critical time in their lives.

Since 1989, Ronald McDonald House Charities UK has supported over 95,000 families from all walks of life, living in the UK or coming from abroad for specialist care. For those families, staying close to their child in hospital receiving care is the number one priority.
